Compact Desktop Carbon Coater

Desk Carbon Coater is a compact carbon fiber coating system suitable for sample preparation for the use in scanning electron microscope (SEM), Transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-Ray analysis (EDX).

This device is available in two formats:

DCR is a rotary-pumped carbon coater that is suitable for SEM sample preparation, EDS/WDS and thin film applications.
DCT is a turbo-pumped carbon coater that is ideal for FE-SEM, EDS/WDS, TEM, EBSD and thin film applications.

This high vacuum coater offers high quality uniform carbon films with fine grain sizes which are suitable for specimens that require high resolution and high quality characterization.

Vac Coat DST1-300 Turbo-Pumped Sputter Coater

With one of the smallest benchtop footprints, DST1-300provide DC and RF sputtering for high resolution SEM and TEM sample preparation.

The DST1-300 range provides the following versions to satisfy most laboratory applications.

  • DST1-300 Single magnetron, DC, RF, sample Bias, sample heating, Sample rotation
  • DST2-A Two magnetrons angled central focal point, DC, RF sample Bias, sample heating, Sample rotation.
  • DST2-TA Two magnetrons angled central focal point, DC, RF sample Bias, sample heating, Sample rotation, single thermal evaporation facility for carbon, wire or boat.
  • DST2-S Two magnetrons straight, DC, RF sample Bias, sample heating, Sample rotation, single thermal evaporation facility for carbon, wire or boat.
  • DST2-TS Two magnetrons straight, DC, RF sample Bias, sample heating, Sample rotation, single thermal evaporation facility for carbon, wire or boat.
  • DST3-A  Three magnetrons angled central focal point, DC, RF sample Bias, sample heating, Sample rotation.
  • DST3-TA  Three magnetrons angled central focal point, DC, RF sample Bias, sample heating, Sample rotation, single thermal evaporation facility for carbon, wire or boat.
  • DST3-S Three magnetrons straight, DC, RF sample Bias, sample heating, Sample rotation.
  • DST3-TS Three magnetrons straight, DC, RF sample Bias, sample heating, Sample rotation, single thermal evaporation for carbon, wire or boat.

4″ magnetron option is also available.

Vac Coat DST1-170 Turbo-Pumped Sputter Coater

With one of the smallest benchtop footprints, the vac Coat DST1-170 provide DC sputtering for high resolution SEM and TEM sample preparation.

Providing high resolution definition coatings with repeatable results due to the Auto process control, allowing easy set and operation.

The DST1-170 can also be used for general metal sputtering for optics and thin film coatings.

Sample rotation is standard, with tilt and height adjustment for most applications.

Vac Coat also have a range of larger Turbo pumped sputter coaters with options of 1 to 3,  2″ magnetrons, RF and DC, sample heating, this range is the DST1-300 range.

PLD: Compact Desktop Thin Film PLD

Pulsed Laser Deposition technique leads to efficient, none-thermal ablation and preserves the stoichiometry of the target materials. By applying this method it could deposit materials such as nitrides, oxides, super lattices, polymers, composites.

PLD  is equipped with a multi-target manipulator which includes three 2 cm diameter. Targets are in standard size. All of our target manipulators are motorized and includes target rotation

PLD-T: Compact Desktop Thin Film PLD with 3 Evaporation sources

PLD – T is a high vacuum thin film deposition system enables to deposit different materials by both Pulsed Laser Deposition and so thermal evaporation technique.

It can deposit complex materials and crystalline structures onto substrates with very little setup involved.

PLD – T is equipped with a multi-target manipulator which includes three 2 cm diameter.

Targets are in standard size. All of our target manipulators are motorized and includes target rotation

Thermal evaporation sources (Boat / Basket / Coil)

The PLD – T is fitted with three independent heat resistance thermal evaporation sources. Design of the evaporation source holder avoids cross contamination  from sources materials to other materials.

The length of source holders can be adjusted in the range of 5~10 cm which meets the costumer requirement.

Vac Coat DTT is also available for evaporation deposition system designed for commercial and research use.
