• A Tissue Float or Paraffin Bath is a device in which the sections from the microtome are flattened.

is a floating bath used to stretch out histological sections fixed in paraffin after they have been cut on the microtome. The water used to stretch out the histology sections is contained in the pyrex glass tank. A probe measures the temperature.
