Description
The Labtechniche aluminum containers are used for melting paraffin in Tissue Processors. the capacity of these containers is 1.5 liters. they can be used in tissue processors. Because melted paraffin wax is hydrophobic (incompatible with water), the majority of the water in a specimen must be removed before the wax can be infiltrated. This procedure is commonly carried out by immersing specimens in a series of increasing concentrations of ethanol (alcohol) solutions until pure, water-free alcohol is obtained. Because ethanol is miscible with water in all proportions, the water in the specimen is gradually replaced by alcohol. To avoid excessive tissue distortion, a series of increasing concentrations are used.
